Test a successful card payment
Check that Stripe shows Test mode and the expected amount, then use:

- Any future expiry, such as 12/30, and any three-digit CVC, such as 123.
- Use made-up test contact details: test@example.com and Test Customer. Do not use your real card.
- Use any valid-format billing postcode if prompted, such as SW1A 1AA.
Test a declined payment
Use 4000 0000 0000 0002 with a future expiry and any CVC. Stripe should show a decline and keep you on checkout.
What a successful test means
Stripe displays a sandbox confirmation and records a test payment in your Stripe sandbox Dashboard. This site does not yet receive verified payment events or create orders. A signed webhook handler, saved order records, decklist association, delivery prices and live-account setup are required before customer ordering opens.
